This vessel is the first in a series of new split barges for the Myanmar Port Authority and an addition to its existing fleet. The split barge operates is constructed and commissioned by Upland on the banks of the Irrawaddy river in Yangon. It took only 12 months from keel-laying to delivery to end-user. Hydromaster supplied the steerable propulsion and splitting system all powered by a singular power pack including Yanmar engine, hydraulic power pack, splitting cylinders and controls. Commissioning was performed by the Upland team independently at the site supported by Hydromaster online. Great job!
