Electrical Design/Software & Project Engineer

Hydromaster is a manufacturer of steerable propulsion systems for ships. We operate from Rotterdam (the Netherlands) and Southend-on-Sea (United Kingdom) and supply and service our systems worldwide.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Electrical Design & Project Engineer to lead our team in Rotterdam to build, commission and service controls systems, part of the HYDROMASTER propulsion units.

As an Electrical Design & Project Engineer your key responsibilities will include:

• Design and prepare electrical (work) schematic drawings
• Test completed Hydromaster (remote) control systems
• Maintain and modify our standard program into custom made project related requirements

Candidate Requirements:

• Completed technical education in electronic and electrical engineering (MBO+ or HBO)
• Ability to prepare electric wiring diagrams
• Experience in design of PCB’s and embedded software
• Ability to program microcontrollers
• Hands-on mentality and practical technical sense
• Good command of English
• Willingness to travel (also on short notice)
• Good communication skills
• Flexible, goal oriented and enjoys working in a team
